IN BRIEF: Reckitt Benckiser picks Citi to run first tranche of buyback

Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC - Slough, England-based consumer goods - Will start on Wednesday the GBP150 million first tranche of the GBP500 million share buyback that Reckitt announced with its interim results last week. The first tranche will be run by Citigroup Global Markets Ltd and completed by December 11. All shares purchased in the first tranche will be held in treasury.

Reckitt last week said pretax profit fell by a quarter to GBP981 million in the first half of 2026 from GBP1.31 billion a year prior, as net revenue declined 8.2% to GBP6.41 billion from GBP6.98 billion. However, the prior year revenue included GBP911 million from the since-sold Essential Home division. Looking at just Reckitt's "core" offering plus Mead Johnson Nutrition, net revenue rose 1.7% to GBP6.18 billion from GBP6.07 billion. In addition to announcing the share buyback, Reckitt raised its interim dividend by 5.0% to 88.6 pence per share from 84.4p
