Provident Financial PLC - Bradford, England-based banking group - Confirms that it has changed its name to Vanquis Banking Group PLC, effective today. Name change was announced in January, in recognition of its new and future mix of lending products and its repositioning as a specialist banking group.
Vanquis was promoted to the FTSE 250 index as part of an index review on Wednesday, which is effective on March 20.
