Old Mutual Ltd - Anglo-South African financial services firm - Says its shares will start trading on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange or VFEX in Zimbabwe from Wednesday next week. This comes after its migration to VFEX from the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange or ZSE is approved. Zimbabwean shareholders will now trade Old Mutual's shares for the first time since suspension on the ZSE in 2020.
In June 2020, the Zimbabwean government issued a directive to suspended trading on the ZSE to address an implied exchange rate and other market instabilities cited at the time. Though trading on the ZSE resumed in August 2020, Old Mutual was among the shares that remained suspended. Old Mutual announced its decision to transfer its secondary listing in Zimbabwe early last month.
