Jubilee Metals Group PLC - London-based metal processing company operating in Zambia - Says run-of-mine deliveries from its Molefe copper mine in Zambia to its Sable refinery in that country have re-started. This follows the expansion of pit two at Molefe mine. Jubilee says Molefe mine remains on track to increase ore deliveries to about 6,000 tonnes this month, increasing to around 8,500 tonnes by August, and targeting steady-state of 10,000 tonnes per month delivered to Sable plant by October.
"The recommencement of ROM deliveries from Molefe mine to the Sable refinery marks a significant milestone in the continued expansion of Jubilee's Zambia copper strategy and demonstrates the rapid progress being achieved at Molefe mine under the updated mine plan," Jubilee Chief Executive Officer Leon Coetzer says. Development work to integrate pits two and three into a single enlarged open-pit operation continues to progress well, it says.
