IN BRIEF: IAG completes EUR500 million share buyback

11th Sep 2026 18:00

International Consolidated Airlines Group SA - London and Madrid-based airline company - Confirms that it has completed its EUR500 million share buyback programme announced on May 15. Notes that the programme forms part of its previously announced EUR1.50 billion return of excess cash to shareholders. Says it has now returned EUR1.00 billion through the most recent buyback and its predecessor, which was also worth EUR500 million in total. Says that under the latest programme, it repurchased 97.7 million shares, representing 2.12% of its issued share capital as of September 11. Reiterates that the buyback is intended to reduce its share capital, and the repurchased shares are therefore being held in treasury pending cancellation.
