IN BRIEF: Gem Diamonds finds 122 carat stone at Letseng mine

Gem Diamonds Ltd - 70% owner of Letseng diamond mine in Lesotho, southern Africa - Finds 122.20 carat type II white diamond at Leseng mine this past Sunday. The stone is the 11th diamond of more than 100 carats found so far in 2024. Gem recovered 129.71 carat and 145.55 carat stones last month. The value of such large stones varies widely. In the first quarter of this year, Gem Diamonds said it sold 113.11 carat white diamond for USD39,345 per carat, or USD4.5 million.

Current stock price: 12.95 pence, up 3.2% in London on Thursday
