Gear4music Holdings PLC - York, England-based online retailer of musical instruments and equipment - Publishes Executive Chair Andrew Wass's statement for its annual general meeting, scheduled for 1330 BST. Wass says trading for the financial year 2027 to date is in line with board expectations. Sales for the five months ended August 31 are 7.3% higher compared with the prior year. Company cites market consensus for the year ending March 31 as forecasting GBP200.2 million in revenue, as well as GBP6.0 million in pretax profit and GBP16.0 million in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation. This would be up from a 30% jump in revenue to GBP190.7 million in financial 2026, but down from pretax profit of GBP10.3 million, and Ebitda totalling GBP18.4 million.
"We are pleased with this progress, particularly given that sales growth moderated during July and August amid an unusually prolonged period of hot weather, and against the very strong growth achieved in the corresponding period of FY26," Wass comments.
He adds that Gear4music plans to issue a trading update for its first half on October 20, and to publish its half-year results on November 17.
Current stock price: 260.50 pence, down 7.8% late on Tuesday morning in London
12-month change: down 12%
