Elementis PLC - London-based chemical manufacturer - Commences programme to repurchase shares worth up to approximately GBP25 million, or around USD35 million, by no later than February 28. Says it intends to cancel most of these shares, while retaining some in treasury to meet obligations under its employee share scheme. Appoints Rothschild & Co Global Markets Solutions Ltd to manage the programme. Elementis can buy back up to 56.9 million shares under the programme.
