IN BRIEF: CC Japan sees net assets drop with "another difficult year"

CC Japan Income & Growth Trust PLC - invests for dividend income and capital growth from equities listed or quoted in Japan - Records a net asset value as at October 31 of 151.1 pence, down 8.4% from 165.4p on the same date the year prior. Reports a NAV cum-income total return per share of negative 5.9%, down from positive 24.3% a year prior. Attributes the performance to another difficult year given Russia's invasion of Ukraine and a slow reopening the economy of the Japanese economy after Covid-19. Total dividend amounts to 4.90p, up 3% from 4.75p.

"Our focus on income will continue to be an important part of our total return which clearly differentiates our mandate from most other funds investing in Japan. Richard Aston and his colleagues are finding no shortage of investment opportunities," Chair Harry Wells comments.
