IN BRIEF: BP Marsh remains upbeat, plans further share buyback

BP Marsh & Partners PLC - London-based venture capital investor - Issues trading update. Remains confident regarding ongoing performance. Reports group funds stood at GBP40.5 million as at January 31 2024 compared to GBP12.1 million at January 31. Plans to pay final dividend of GBP1 million. In January, BP Marsh said it intended to double its annual dividend payments to GBP4 million per year for the financial years ending January 31, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Intends to allocate further GBP6 million to share buyback programme. After talks, BP Marsh says it does not believe a large scale return of capital transaction such as a tender offer to be the best route forward for the company at this time.

Current stock price: 472.01 pence, up 1.3% in London on Monday late afternoon
