Avon Protection PLC - Wiltshire-based respiratory protection equipment manufacturer - Says the first quarter sales of financial 2023 are at a similar level to the same period a year earlier, after a strong final quarter in respiratory in financial 2022. Revenue was USD271.9 million for financial 2022. Says revenue in Q1 rises 6% year-on-year, driven by the "previously anticipated increase in sales of armour products". No actual figures are given, only percentage figures. Expects revenue to be weighted in the second half of financial 2023.
Non-Executive Chair Bruce Thompson says: "We look forward to making further progress on our key operational and strategic initiatives as we enter a new chapter of delivery, improvement and growth under his leadership."
The company will report its interim results for six months ending March 31 on May 23.
