IN BRIEF: Atlas Metals shares fall as loss widens; acquisition-focused

Atlas Metals Group PLC - natural resources and energy investor - Operating pretax loss widens to GBP2.9 million in the first half of 2026, from GBP620,211 a year prior. The company is not yet revenue generating. Regarding its planned acquisition of Universal Pozzolanic Silica Alumina Ltd, the firm says: "As previously announced, the company has commissioned material testing and additional drilling activity to enhance and refine the nature of the initial inferred resource previously reported. The company is pleased to report that it expects to be able to release the findings of this activity shortly, which will also inform future strategy as to development and commercialisation activities, and enable a further submission to be made to the Financial Conduct Authority to advance the prospectus review process."

Current stock price: 6.25 pence each, down 22% on Wednesday afternoon in London
