IN BRIEF: Asiamet Resources drilling at BKZ intersects mineralisation

24th Nov 2021 21:17

Asiamet Resources Ltd - White Rock, Canada-based exploration and development company - Drilling at the BKZ copper-zinc-precious metals deposit in Kalimantan, Indonesia has recently intersected strong gold-silver dominant mineralisation to east and below base metal horizons.

The results include 29 metres at 4.59 grams per tonne of gold and 161 grams per tonne of silver.

Asiamet expects continued drilling to expand the mineral inventory and economic value of the KSK licence, leading to the drill program has been expanded to 4,500 metres from 3,000 metres.

"The 2021 resource expansion program has significantly exceeded our expectations. As drilling continues to deliver exceptional high-grade zinc and copper dominant polymetallic results which expand the current BKZ Resource envelope, the recent discovery of strong precious metals consistent with zonation commonly observed in other gold rich VHMS systems, provides strong supporting evidence that the BKZ and BKM deposits are part of a single 3km long VHMS system which will continue to grow," says Executive Chair Tony Manini.
