IN BRIEF: ASA International names Charles Harman as new chair

ASA International Group PLC - Worthing, England-based international microfinance company - Appoints Charles Harman as chair and non-executive director, effective June 4. Adds that Chair Guy Dawson and Deputy Chair Dirk Brouwer have confirmed their plans to step down. Notes Harman's over 40 years of experience in commercial and financial roles across global markets, including serving as vice chair of JP Morgan Cazenove and in leadership roles at Credit Suisse First Boston and BXR Partners. Explains that Brouwer will step down on June 4, noting that he will remain associated with the company in an advisory capacity as founder & chair emeritus. Adds that Dawson will revert to being an independent non-executive director as Harman assumes the role of chair, with Dawson set to step down from the board on July 16.

Current stock price: 215.00 pence, up 1.4% on Tuesday afternoon in London
