(Alliance News) - Hutchmed (China) Ltd on Monday said its Hong Kong-listed shares are now included on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges as part of a stock connection programme.
Hutchmed China is a Hong-Kong-based pharmaceutical company focused on developing drugs that treat cancer and immunological diseases.
The Stock Connect programme links China's mainland markets and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Through the scheme, mainland Chinese investors can access eligible Hong Kong shares, while Hong Kong and overseas investors can trade on mainland markets, subject to daily quotas.
"We are pleased to be included in the Stock Connect programs and that qualified mainland Chinese investors will now have direct access to our shares through the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges," said Hutchmed China Chief Executive Christian Hogg.
Shares were down 0.3% at 610.18 pence in London on Monday morning.
