LONDON (Alliance News) - HgCapital Trust PLC Tuesday said it has contributed about GBP7.7 million to private equity firm HgCapital's acquisition of Ullink SAS, a provider of electronic trading applications and connectivity to the financial community.
HgCapital Trust said it will participate in the acquisition of Ullink alongside other institutional clients of HgCapital, which will participate through the HgCapital 7 fund.
The trust, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, gives private and institutional investors the opportunity to participate in all HgCapital's investments.
The transaction will reduce the trust's outstanding commitments to invest in HgCapital deals to approximately GBP247 million.
HgCapital, the European private equity investor, has made a majority investment in Ullink for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2001 by current Chief Executive Laurent Useldinger, Ullink has grown quickly to become a provider of multi-asset trading technology and infrastructure for buy-side and sell-side market participants, according to the trust's statement.
HgCapital Trust shares were Tuesday quoted at 1,056.00 pence, down 0.3%.
