(Alliance News) - Henry Boot PLC on Wednesday said its property investment and development arm has let more space across Origin, which it said reflected the depth of occupier demand in well-connected locations.
The Sheffield, England-based construction and property development firm said its property investment and development arm HBD has let a further 404,100 square feet of industrial and logistics space across Origin, its joint venture with Feldberg Capital.
Henry Boot said at SPARK, Walsall, two units have been let at the 13-acre GBP53 million gross development value development.
Henry Boot said Virgin Wines has taken 82,000 square feet across two units at APTUS, the GBP100 million industrial & logistics scheme in Preston in Lancashire.
Further, at Markham Vale in Derbyshire, a 53,800 square feet industrial & logistics unit within ARK phase two, with a gross development value of GBP9 million, has been pre-let to a manufacturing business. The new unit is set to complete in September and will enable the occupier to consolidate its operations in a workspace with direct access to the M1 motorway which connects London to Leeds.
Henry Boot said following the lettings, 66% of Origin's 711,000 square feet of current total portfolio is either let, 59%, or under offer, 7%.
Henry Boot Chief Executive Officer Ed Hutchinson said: "Securing these significant lettings reflects both the quality of the Origin portfolio and the depth of occupier demand for modern, sustainable industrial and logistics space in well-connected locations. Each deal has set new headline rents in its respective location and further supports our confidence in the portfolio's income and capital growth potential, as we continue to deliver projects aligned with the needs of leading occupiers."
Henry Boot shares rose 0.7% to 156.00 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London, while Virgin Wines UK PLC shares closed 1.9% higher at 27.00p each.
