LONDON (Alliance News) - Hellenic Carriers Ltd Wednesday noted a "recent substantial movement in its share price" and said it knows of "no reason for such movement".
Shares in Hellenic closed up 34% at 8.70 pence Wednesday.
Hellenic noted that it has notified the market that its shares will be cancelled from the AIM market next Wednesday. Shareholders voted in favour of the company's proposed delisting at the company's annual general meeting Tuesday.
Hellenic Carriers proposed delisting its shares back in March after conditions became increasing challenging within the bulk shipping market, which it said was "probably the worst for the last 30 years".
