(Alliance News) - Hasbro Inc said Monday it has completed GBP3.3 billion acquisition of Peppa Pig producer Entertainment One Ltd.
Back in August the US toy maker had said it had agreed to acquire Entertainment One in an all-cash transaction valued at GBP3.3 billion. The transaction was expected to close at the fourth quarter of 2019.
Hasbro had said the acquisition would advance its position as a global play and entertainment company, adding "beloved" preschool brands to its portfolio.
Entertainment one also issued a statement on Monday confirming that its acquisition by Hasbro has become effective.
Hasbro shares were down 0.3% in New York at USD105.44 on Monday. Entertainment One shares has been suspended in London.
