(Alliance News) - Gunsynd PLC on Tuesday said a maiden diamond drilling programme at its Eagle Lake Gold Project in Ontario, Canada, has been brought forward to the first half of September following strong initial sampling results.
The London-based investment company, which holds a 10% interest in Wedgetail Mining Corp, said Phase 1 channel sampling identified several high-grade gold intersections across its priority targets, including 1.85 metres at 7.17 grams of gold per tonne at East Fornieri Bay.
The 1,375-metre programme will comprise 11 holes across four priority target areas. Drilling will target East Fornieri Bay, West Fornieri Bay, Cedar Trench and Moss Knoll.
Gunsynd said the programme is fully funded and permitted, with drilling to be managed by Critical Discoveries Corp and Rodren Drilling Ltd.
Shares in Gunsynd were down 5.9% to 0.80 pence on Tuesday morning in London.
