(Alliance News) - Great Portland Estates PLC on Monday called the pre-letting of a property in central London a "great result".
The London-based office space developer and landlord said the pre-letting at 30 Duke Street, St James's, London followed the exchange of a new retail lease with Australian menswear brand, MJ Bale.
MJ Bale has taken 2,636 square feet of space on the Jermyn Street frontage for its first London store, completing the leasing of the entire building. Letting of office space and another retail unit at the property was agreed last year.
In total, 30 Duke Street has secured lettings at rents on average 6.7% ahead of estimated rental value, worth GBP186 per sq ft, or GBP12.6 million of total annual rent.
Executive Director Dan Nicholson said: "Fully pre-letting 30 Duke Street St James's ahead of practical completion is a great result and highlights the enduring appeal of the West End."
Shares in Great Portland Estates fell 2.4% to 314.60 pence each in London on Monday.
