Golden Saint Resources Recovers Further Six Diamonds At Baja

20th Jan 2017 12:12

LONDON (Alliance News) - Golden Saint Resources Ltd on Friday said bulk sampling at its Baja licence area in Sierra Leone recovered a further six diamonds.

Shares in Golden Saint were trading up 67% at 0.0460 pence on Friday following the announcement.

The stones range from 0.17 to 0.70 carats each, adding to the 13 stones weighing 5.75 carats recovered in December.

In addition, 4.07 grammes of alluvial gold were also recovered at Baja, bringing the total alluvial gold recovered from this bulk sample to 7.97 grammes.

Bulk sampling at Baja will continue for another two months.

Meanwhile, at the Tongo licence area also in Sierra Leone, the original bulk sample trench has been extended with the overburden stripped completely and 131 tonnes of basal gravels extracted for processing through the sampling plant.

Golden Saint added that, following the site visits by Rock Forage Consulting Services, Baja could potentially host between 210,000 and 525,000 carats of diamonds and 63 to 105 kilogrammes of alluvial gold.

"The estimated provisional inventories of the diamond and gold deposits in our Baja and Tongo licenced areas as reported by Rock Forage are very encouraging and we will now consider the work necessary to establish an inferred resource within the Baja and Tongo licence areas," Chairman David McDonald said in a statement.
