GoldBridges Appoints Polo Resources' Herbert As Non-Executive Director

29th Feb 2016 12:03

LONDON (Alliance News) - Kazakhstan-based mining company GoldBridges Global Resources PLC on Monday said it has appointed Neil Herbert as a non-executive director and Sanzhar Assaubayev as an executive director.

Herbert was co-chairman and managing director of AIM-listed natural resources and mine development investment company Polo Resources Ltd until October 2013. Prior to that, he was finance director at African-focused uranium exploration company UraMin.

Assaubayev is the former director of international affairs at mining company JSC MMC Kzakhhaltyn and an executive director of Kazakh Gold Group.

"We are delighted that Sanzhar and Neil have agreed to join us. Their skills and experience in management and finance are crucial to us at this time when GoldBridges is transitioning from a small scale open pit gold miner to a significant gold producer in the Central Asia region," Chief Executive Aidar Assaubayev said in a statement.

Shares in GoldBridges were trading down 4.5% at 1.82 pence on Monday afternoon.
