Gfinity Signs Deal To Host Call Of Duty European Championships

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gfinity PLC on Tuesday said it has signed a deal with US games developer Activision Publishing to host the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare European Championships.

Gfinity, an eSports company which hosts gaming competitions, will host the event at the Royal Opera House in London from February 28 to March 1. It is the second time it has partnered with Activision on the event.

Gfinity did not provide any financial details on the deal.

"We are delighted to once again be partnered with Activision to host the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare European Championships. The agreement is an endorsement of our leading position in eSports and our ability to organise and deliver pioneering industry events," said Gfinity Chief Executive Officer Neville Upton.

Shares in Gfinity were down 3.9% to 18.5 pence on Tuesday early afternoon.
