(Alliance News) - Getech Group PLC on Tuesday announced it has secured a multi-year licence agreement for its Globe product with an undisclosed national energy company.
The Leeds-based geoscience and geospatial products firm said the agreement adds GBP563,000 to its current orderbook, and follows the completion of the energy company's first year using its Globe Earth System Modelling, which allows users to enhance their "geological models by exploring changes in depositional environments."
Shares in Getech were up 11% at 16.13 pence in London on Tuesday.
Chief Executive Jonathan Copus said: "Getech is committed to working in partnership with our customers so that our skills and technologies are closely aligned with their most pressing business needs. Through this approach Getech has demonstrated Globe's value to this new customer, who has then made a multi-year commitment to Getech's technology."
Looking ahead, Getech said its investment in Globe during 2021 will be focused on "delivering new tools and content that strengthen the product's core offering and promote its diversified use across the mining and geothermal sectors."
