GCP Infrastructure Investments completes sale of onshore wind projects

20th Jul 2026 13:12

(Alliance News) - GCP Infrastructure Investments Ltd on Monday said it has completed the sale of two operational onshore wind projects for around GBP11 million.

The closed-ended investment company advised by Gravis Capital Management Ltd provides exposure to UK infrastructure debt.

The two projects, Winscales Moor and Burton Wold, have a total generating capacity of 26.5 megawatts.

The disposal occurred at a 13% premium to the valuation of the projects that was included in the firm's net asset value at the end of March.

GCP Infrastructure Investments said the payments includes GBP10.3 million of day-one cash proceeds, with a further GBP800,000 of tax-related proceeds "expected imminently". There is also GBP600,000 of deferred consideration.

The company said the cash proceeds will be used in line with its capital allocation policy. Excess cash will be used to continue the share buyback programme, at the "prevailing discount" which its shares trade to NAV.

GCP Infrastructure Investments added that the supported social housing disposal that will repay GBP47 million of loans continues to progress, with completion expected in the coming months.

The firm noted that its revolving credit facility remains undrawn.

Shares in GCP Infrastructure Investments were down 0.4% at 82.19 pence on Monday afternoon in London.
