(Alliance News) - Gana Media Group PLC on Friday announced it has been inducted as a member of Mexico's leading gaming association, as it seeks to expand its presence in the country's regulated gaming market.
The London-based entertainment, media and digital gaming company said it was formally welcomed into the Asociacion de Permisionarios, Operadores y Proveedores de la Industria del Entretenimiento y Juego de Apuesta en Mexico, known as AIEJA, during the association's general assembly in Mexico City on Thursday.
AIEJA represents operators, concessionaires, software providers and suppliers across Mexico's regulated gaming, betting and entertainment sector.
It said the membership would support its engagement with industry stakeholders and regulators, while reinforcing its focus on compliance, responsible gaming and player protection.
Gana Media also operates Estadiogana, a platform that combines sports media content, digital engagement, and regulated betting.
Chief Executive Officer Mark Epstein said: "Mexico represents a tremendous strategic opportunity for Gana Media Group to demonstrate how our integrated model of media, interactive entertainment, and regulated gaming delivers sustained value to our users, partners, and shareholders.
"Becoming an official member of AIEJA validates our long-term vision. We look forward to working alongside Dr. Ochoa and the association's members to support responsible gaming and elevate player entertainment across the country."
Gana Media said the membership lays the groundwork for further operational expansion, local job creation and content distribution in the region.
Shares in Gana Media were up 4.2% at 0.099 pence on Friday afternoon in London.
