(Alliance News) - Galantas Gold Corp on Thursday said it has applied for the admission of its shares to the Main Market and for the removal of its shares from AIM.
Galantas is a gold and copper miner developing the Indiana and Andacollo projects in Chile.
Galantas has applied for its shares to be admitted to the Equity Shares (International Commercial Companies Secondary Listing) segment of the official list and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market.
Galantas said it will not be raising any funds or offering any new securities in connection with admission, which is subject to the approval by the Financial Conduct Authority of a prospectus.
It therefore intends to apply for the cancellation of trading of its shares on AIM. Cancellation is expected concurrently with admission no earlier than December 4.
Admission is not conditional upon shareholder approval.
Separately on Thursday, Galantas said its subsidiary, Galantas Gold Chile Spa has entered into a dore purchase contract with Ocean Partners USA.
Under the agreement, Galantas will sell to Ocean Partners 100% of the refined gold and silver contained in dore or other acceptable semi-refined product produced from Andacollo.
The agreement has an initial term of three years from the start of commercial production. It thereafter automatically extends for 12-month periods unless terminated by either party on 12 months' notice. Notice may not be given until two full calendar years after the start of commercial production.
Mario Stifano, CEO of Galantas, commented: "The dore purchase contract provides Galantas with a commercial framework for the sale of dore from Andacollo Gold and access to a potential advance payment facility to support working capital as the company advances Andacollo Gold towards production. The arrangement reflects our continued focus on disciplined project development and responsible capital management."
Galantas shares closed up 2.6% at 20.00 pence each in London on Thursday.
