(Alliance News) - Fevertree Drinks PLC shares were down on Thursday, despite the drinks manufacturer reporting increased revenue and earnings for its first half.
The stock lost 4.9% to trade at 777.08 pence on Thursday in London.
Fevertree, a London-based maker of premium drink mixers, said pretax profit in the first half of 2026 rose 30% to GBP14.6 million from GBP11.2 million, with revenue up 14% to GBP165.1 million from GBP144.3 million. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation grew 9.2% to GBP20.1 million from GBP18.4 million.
UK revenue increased 2.9% to GBP49.5 million from GBP48.1 million, while US revenue jumped 39% to GBP47.8 million from GBP34.5 million. Adjusted revenue for the US region increased 7.2% to GBP66.9 million from GBP62.4 million, although adjusted Ebitda decreased to GBP4.1 million from GBP5.0 million.
Also on an adjusted basis, group revenue grew 7.0% to GBP184.2 million from GBP172.2 million.
Fevertree explained that statutory revenue for the US in the first half comprised royalty fees earned under its partnership arrangement with Molson Coors, and revenue generated from UK-produced finished goods and ingredients for US production invoiced at cost to Molson Coors. It has adjusted statutory US revenue to US revenue 'as invoiced to US customers' by Molson Coors.
The company declared a dividend of 6.09p per share for the half-year, up 2.0% from 5.97p the year before.
"We've made strong progress in the first half of the year," commented Chief Executive & Co-Founder Tim Warrillow. "In the US, our partnership with Molson Coors is delivering, with sales momentum building, market share increasing, and our first national marketing campaign helping bring the brand to more consumers than ever before.
"It's also been encouraging to see the UK return to growth. Our new marketing campaign, 'Straight up or Mixed', landed at exactly the right time as consumers made the most of the summer weather, while products such as Ginger Beer and Mexican Lime Soda continue to demonstrate how the Fever-Tree brand can thrive whether consumers are choosing to drink alcohol or not."
Looking ahead, Fevertree said its expectations for the full year remain unchanged and in line with market guidance.
"We continue to anticipate step changes in US profitability being delivered over the medium term as production is on-shored and the incremental marketing investment moderates to more typical levels," Fevertree added.
"We have continued to trade well through the summer and are confident in delivering market expectations for the full year," Warrillow said. "Our diversification strategy is expanding the opportunity for the brand, while our increasingly cash-generative business model allows us to invest behind future growth and deliver attractive returns to shareholders."
