EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Record founder retires; Bivictrix appoints new CFO

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Record PLC - Berkshire, England-based currency and derivatives manager - Chair & Founder Neil Record to retire at annual general meeting in July. Appoints David Morrison as chair elect and non-executive director. Outgoing Record says: "I have devoted almost my entire working life to building Record to the business it is today. Leaving it will be a huge challenge for me, but I remain very excited about the Company's future, and plan to remain a major shareholder [...] I have every confidence that my Board colleagues will continue the path of sustained growth and successfully implement our core strategic priorities of diversification and modernisation. David will be a great support to our CEO, Leslie Hill, who has been involved in the succession process and welcomes David's appointment". Record founded Record in 1983, was chief executive officer until 2010 and served as non-executive chair until present.

Safestyle UK PLC - Bradford-based retailer and manufacturer of PVCu replacement windows - Appoints Michelle Williams to the board as executive director and chief people officer with immediate effect. Chair Alan Lovell says: "Having held the position of human resources director at Safestyle since 2017, Michelle understands our people, our business and our industry extremely well and we look forward to her ongoing contribution to the business as a board director."

Bivictrix Therapeutics PLC - Cheshire-based cancer-therapies focused biotechnology company - Appoints Alex Hughes as chief financial officer, replacing incumbent Glyn Baker who steps down on March 31. Chief Executive Officer Tiffany Thorn says: "We look forward to working with Alex as we enter this new period of growth following our recent positive preclinical safety results of BVX001. I am confident that his extensive financial experience will help guide the company, as we continue to make great progress in the development of our urgently-needed next-generation therapeutics." Hughes adds: "I believe the company's potential to develop next generation cancer therapies for patients is tremendous and I look forward to being part of such a talented and passionate team."

Kazera Global PLC - diamond and rare earths explorer in South Africa and Namibia - Executive Technical Director Odilon Kasongo Ilunga informs board he intends to resign for personal reasons, effective March 14. Ilunga has been a director since July 2020. Chief Executive Officer Dennis Edmonds says: "On behalf of the board of Kazera I would like to thank Odilon sincerely for his contribution to Kazera and specifically our project in Namibia over the past few years."

Just Group PLC - Surrey, England-based financial services group on focusing on the UK retirement income market - Senior Independent Director Ian Cormack to retire from board, with effect from the conclusion of its annual general meeting on May 9. Independent Non-Executive Director Mary Phibbs will succeed him, subject to regulatory approval. Chair John Hastings-Bass says: "I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Ian for his significant contribution to the group throughout his tenure. As senior independent director Ian has provided wise counsel and support to me and the board. It has been a pleasure to work alongside him and we wish Ian all the best for the future." Outgoing Cormack adds: "While Just Group PLC has had to cope with major market changes over the last decade, the intrinsic talent, energy and commitment to delivering better retirement benefits to our customers has taken Just to its current position of a strong, creative and growing enterprise."

Active Energy Group PLC - London-based renewable energy business focused on the production of energy pellets made from biomass - Names Steve Schaar as chief operating officer to focus on the development of CoalSwitch production in the US. Role will initially be in a non-board capacity. Chief Executive Officer Michael Rowan says: "Steve's appointment comes at an important time for Active Energy as our partner, Player Design Inc, prepares to commission the first industrial scale CoalSwitch production plant in the United States, in Ashland, Maine. Steve's relevant experience from the biomass industry is crucial for AEG's ability to not only ensure commencement of full scale production operations in Ashland as quickly as possible, but also to create the platform within AEG to allow for future production capacity growth."

Xeros Technology Group PLC - Rotherham, England-based environmental technology firm - Appoints Alex Tristram as director of finance and company secretary. Has been Group Financial Accounting Manager with Xeros since January 2018. Says this will not be a full board role at present. Chief Executive Officer Neil Austin says: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to promote Alex to this new role. He has made a significant contribution to Xeros over his time with the company and his leadership and financial acumen make this a very natural appointment."
