EXECUTIVE CHANGES: On The Beach adds Justine Greening to board

5th Mar 2021 15:10

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

On The Beach Group PLC - Manchester-based online retailer of beach holidays - Hires former UK government minister Justine Greening as non-executive director, effective immediately. Greening served as transport secretary between 2011 and 2012 and as education secretary from 2016 to 2018 before leaving government that year. Before her political career, during which she represented Putney in west London, Greening was an accountant with PriceWaterhouse and held a strategy role at GlaxoSmithKline PLC. "It is a privilege that Justine has chosen On the Beach as her first corporate non-executive director role, and we look forward to working with her and benefiting from her extensive knowledge and expertise," says Chair Richard Pennycook. "As the travel sector recovers from the pandemic, we expect some fairly major reforms to the regulatory landscape. Justine's experience, in and out of Westminster, will be invaluable as On the Beach navigates these reforms and pursues opportunities to grow our market share both in the UK and internationally."

----------

K3 Business Technology Group PLC - Manchester-based enterprise software firm - Adalsteinn Valdimarsson steps down as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Chair Tom Crawford will be interim CEO while a replacement is found. K3 says departure follows the disposal of Starcom Technologies Ltd, which strengthened the company's financial position and allowed it to move onto a new phase of development. K3 sold Starcom last month to infrastructure and services company Node4 Ltd for GBP14.7 million in cash. Will provide an update on the recruitment process at its annual results on March 30.

----------

Andrews Sykes Group PLC - Wolverhampton-based heating and cooling rental company - Confirms Carl Webb as managing director. Webb was made interim MD in January, having been MD of the UK business for 15 years. Webb replaces Paul Wood, who died at the end of January.

----------

Sabien Technology Group PLC - Maidenhead, England-based energy efficiency technology - Promotes Edward Sutcliffe to chief financial office and board director, effective immediately. Sutcliffe has been interim finance director and company secretary since June 2017.

----------

IG Group Holdings PLC - London-based contracts-for-difference trading platform - Hire Lisa Pollina as non-executive director, starting immediately. Pollina is on the board of insurer Munich RE AG, representing the Americas. She also was vice chair of RBC Capital Markets, part of Royal Bank of Canada.

----------

Surface Transforms PLC - Liverpool-based maker of automotive brake discs - Matthew Taylor and Julia Woodhouse added to board as non-executive directors, both effective immediately. Taylor retired last year as CEO of Bekaert SA, a Belgium-based steel wire business. Woodhouse retired from Ford Motor Co in 2018, having served as director of Global Power Train Purchasing, based in the US, and director of Global Chassis Purchasing, based in Germany.
