(Alliance News) - Everyman Media Group PLC on Wednesday laid out its plans ahead of reopening following the Covid-19 lockdown, the cinema operator will even open a brand-new site before the end of July.
Everyman will implement a phased reopening from July 4, the day lockdowns eases, and plans to have all 33 sites up and running by July 24.
"As well as reopening its existing estate, Everyman will also be the first cinema to open an all new venue post the pandemic; our flagship cinema on the iconic King's Road, Chelsea, on July 24," the company added.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday said the two-metre social-distancing rule would be replaced with a "one-metre plus" rule paving the way for pubs, restaurants, hotels and cinemas to begin reopening from July 4.
Shares in the company were 1.5% higher at 137.00 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
