Eurasia Mining Set For Gravel Washing At West Kytlim In Next Fortnight

29th Apr 2019 17:20

LONDON (Alliance News) - Eurasia Mining PLC said Monday it expects the first washing of gravels at its West Kytlim mine in Russia in the next two weeks after returning the wash-plant.

The platinum group metals and gold production company said all of the necessary mining equipment has arrived on site and is being assembled.

Eurasia said improvements to the washing circuit performed well during the 2018 mining season.

The wash plant in the Kluchiki area - where West Kytlim sits - was relocated after the 2018 season. Eurasia said it believes the area still holds "sufficient" mineable gravels to support a full season of production in 2019, and two wash-plants operating concurrently through 2019-2020.

"It has been a busy couple of weeks for both our own staff in Ekaterinburg and those of our contractor. Safety on site is paramount, especially during assembly of the plant. We now look forward to building on the success of the 2018 season, which has set a benchmark to surpass in 2019," said Executive Chair & Managing Director Christian Schaffalitzky.

The company said infill reserve upgrade drilling at its Bolshaya Sosnovka mine is ongoing.

Shares in Eurasia Mining closed down 5.7% Monday at 0.54 pence each.
