LONDON (Alliance News) - Eurasia Mining PLC on Tuesday said the start-up operation at the West Kytlim platinum and gold mine in Russia has begun.
Earth-moving equipment already has been engaged at the site for several weeks, Eurasia said, and accommodation, maintenance and fuel storage facilities have been installed. Access to forestry areas is progressing on track, and soil removal will be carried out after tree-felling work is completed.
"This is a very exciting time indeed, and we are delighted to be taking a step closer to our promise of first platinum and gold production in 2016," said Eurasia Managing Director Christian Schaffalitzky.
Shares in Eurasia were trading unchanged at 0.55 pence on Tuesday.
