eEnergy shares rise as expands service offering via SolarLife

26th Mar 2025 11:00

(Alliance News) - eEnergy Group PLC on Wednesday said it has launched SolarLife, a strategic expansion of its service offering designed to drive long-term recurring revenue.

The London-based net-zero energy services provider said it is securing its first series of service agreements, including 75 solar systems across education, healthcare, and commercial sectors.

In response, eEnergy shares rose 5.8% to 4.60 pence on Wednesday morning in London.

The company said 7 megawatts per hour of installed capacity were under active management.

Further, eEnergy said the agreements included GBP80,000 in annual recurring revenue, contracted over 10 years, giving a total contract value of GBP800,000.

Chief Executive Officer Harvey Sinclair said: "With the rapid growth of distributed solar, asset owners urgently need trusted partners to safeguard system performance and long-term returns. SolarLife delivers that confidence-ensuring solar installations perform at their peak, minimise downtime, and continue delivering strong financial and environmental value for years to come."

He added: "We strongly support Great British Energy's plan to install rooftop solar on schools and National Health Service sites across the UK. But the real value of this initiative won't come from installation alone-it will come from how these assets are managed over time. Without proactive monitoring and lifecycle care, systems risk underperforming and falling short of their potential, especially in public sector environments already facing stretched maintenance budgets."

On Monday, the company announced two new education contracts worth GBP572,000.

It said they were backed by operating lease funding from lender NatWest.

One contract was with Landau Forte Charitable Trust, worth GBP271,938 for an LED lighting project, at a sixth form in Tamworth.

The other contract is worth GBP300,027 with Synergy Multi Academy Trust to upgrade lightning across five schools within the 15-school trust.

Finally, two weeks ago, eEnergy announced two contracts. One with the Plymouth NHS Trust for a GBP518,000 LED upgrade, and one with Ameresco & LocatED, a net zero accelerator programme, worth GBP156,000. Under the contract with Ameresco, eEnergy will deliver comprehensive LED solutions for three schools.
