LONDON (Alliance News) - Payment products provider Eckoh PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Peter Simmonds as a non-executive director, effective from next Thursday.
Simmonds is currently chairman at AIM-quoted cloud-based computer system provider CloudCall Group PLC and at web designer IS Solutions PLC. He was also chief executive at marketing agency dotDigital Group PLC for eight years, before moving to a non-executive role in June last year.
Simmonds began his career as a trainee accountant with consumer goods giant Unilever PLC.
"We are delighted to have appointed Peter. His experience running a successful software-as-a-service technology company will bring a wealth of knowledge to the board and his insights across a number of key verticals in which Eckoh operates will undoubtedly further strengthen the company. Eckoh has developed an extremely high-class board which we feel reflects the quality of the international service we offer," Chief Executive Nik Philpot said in a statement.
Shares in Eckoh were trading up 0.4% at 170.50 pence on Tuesday morning.
