(Alliance News) - easyJet PLC on Tuesday said it had agreed to an extended deadline to provide documents regarding its takeover by Apollo Management X LP.
The airline said that the scheme document, containing details about the acquisition, will be sent to shareholders before or on October 15 instead of September 3 as originally announced.
The company said this was done to "facilitate continuing constructive engagement with the relevant aviation regulators following the summer period."
The takeover of easyJet by Eagle Bidco Ltd, indirectly owned by Apollo, a Delaware-based asset manager, was agreed by the companies' boards on August 6 and is still expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
Apollo won a bidding race for easyJet against private equity firm Castlelake, with a deal worth GBP5.7 billion that values each easyJet share at 715 pence.
easyJet shares were up 0.2% at 675.00 pence on Tuesday morning.
