EARNINGS: Water Intelligence profit fall; Spectra Systems revenue down

30th Sep 2026 14:25

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of earnings for London-listed companies, issued on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Water Intelligence PLC - London-based provider of water infrastructure technology solutions - Water Intelligence says pretax profit decreases 22% to USD3.3 million in the first half of 2026, from USD4.2 million a year prior. Revenue rises 7.1% to USD48.2 million from USD45.0 million. Total administrative expenses climb 9.6% to USD38.9 million from USD35.5 million. "We look forward to attacking the growing market opportunity in front of us. We will continue to execute our core growth plan of providing tech-based, minimally invasive leak detection and repair solutions across the US and internationally and further developing additional B2B channels beyond insurance," Chair Patrick DeSouza says.

----------

Spectra Systems Corp - Providence, Rhode Island-based company which provides technology for secure transactions from banknotes to gaming - Pretax profit in six months to June 30 slumps to USD3.8 million from USD14.1 million, while revenue declines 38% to USD21.6 million from USD35.0 million. "The H1 2026 numbers are overshadowed by the H1 2025 numbers which reflected the execution of a sensor contract which the company has historically received every 6-8 years beginning with development and transitioning into production. This sensor was the 3rd generation of sensor technology with the same customer, and we are confident that there will be a 4th generation sensor development and production downstream," Chief Executive Officer Nabil Lawandy says. "The H1 period resulted in a key achievement towards our goal to become a supplier of polymer banknote substrates to both fulfill an existing market need and position us to integrate our covert machine-readable taggants into the polymer itself. This continued and unrelenting effort has recently culminated in our full qualification by one of the four central banks we are actively engaged with, making us eligible to participate in future tenders and opening the door of credibility to other central banks."

----------

Keras Resources PLC - mine developer focused on West Africa and the US - Swings to pretax profit of GBP31,000 in the six months to June 30, from a loss of GBP288,000 a year prior, as it reports GBP244,000 in revenue, against none a year prior. The company earlier in September reported it plans to change its name to Okopa PLC. "The new name reflects the company's strategic repositioning following the disposal of its US phosphate operations and its investment in the Namibian copper portfolio, marking the transition to a business focused on the exploration and development of copper assets in Namibia," Keras adds.

----------

Surgical Innovations Group PLC - Leeds, England-headquartered medical products company - Swings to pretax loss of GBP248,000 in the six months to June 30, from profit of GBP21,000 a year prior, while revenue falls to GBP6.0 million from GBP6.1 million. "I am pleased to report a resilient performance for the first half of 2026, with revenue of GBP6.02 million despite a challenging trading environment. The continued growth in our Distribution and OEM businesses, together with particularly strong performance in APAC and the ongoing development of our international markets, demonstrates the increasing diversity and underlying strength of the group," Chair Roy Davis says. It warns that trading headwinds experienced in the first half are expected to continue in "certain markets", notably the US.

----------

Tan Delta Systems PLC - provider of oil-quality monitoring and maintenance systems for commercial and industrial equipment - Pretax loss in six months ended June 30 narrows slightly to GBP745,616 from GBP784,941 a year prior, though revenue climbs to GBP763,458 from GBP526,005. "Whilst I had hoped for customer trials to have transitioned more quickly into rollout, revenues increased by 45% during the first half of the year with gross profit margin maintained at 60%. Tan Delta is in a strategic market position with a compelling offer that has gained significant interest with multiple trials progressing steadily. Our immediate focus and challenge is to use our limited resources intelligently to support and accelerate these trials through to successful conclusion and rollout, and then use that success as a spring board to future sustained growth," CEO Chris Greenwood says. Tan Delta expects annual revenue to show year-on-year growth, "with the extent of that growth dependent on the timing and pace of customer evaluations progressing into wider commercial rollouts".
