(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of earnings and trading updates by London-listed companies, issued on Wednesday and Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:
----------
Ferrexpo PLC - Baar, Switzerland-headquartered iron ore producer - Reports 2025 revenue of USD787 million, down 16% from USD933 million in 2024. Underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation fall 60% to USD28 million from USD69 million. Pretax loss widens to USD212.6 million from USD20.4 million. Total pellet production is 3.2 million tonnes, down 47% from 6.1 million. Announces intention to launch a USD100 million equity capital raise via placing and subscription at 16.5 pence per share, a discount of 42.3% to the closing share price of 28.6 pence on April 30. "The board believes the net proceeds of the fundraise will be sufficient to meet the group's immediate and short-term operational requirements while operating at a reduced level for the next 18 months and to continue as a going concern." Chair Lucio Genoves says: "During 2025, the group faced increasing external challenges which hindered our ability to operate and generate the socio-economic contributions we provide for our people and Ukraine. The decision by tax authorities to continue to withhold VAT refunds during the year put pressure on our working capital availability and ultimately forced us to reduce our pellet line capacity from the 50% capacity we were achieving early in the year down to 25%. As we have announced, these operating conditions have continued in 2026 which have resulted in the group needing additional capital to meet immediate and short-term operational requirements while operating at a reduced level for the next 18 months and to continue as a going concern."

Spire Healthcare Group PLC - London-based private healthcare provider - Extends for the fifth time the put-up-or-shut-up deadline for its second-largest shareholder to make a firm takeover offer or walk away. Back in May, Spire agreed to a non-binding takeover offer from funds advised by Toscafund Asset Management LLP. The proposal of 250 pence per share in cash values Spire at GBP1.01 billion. Since then, Spire has extended the deadline for Toscafund to make a firm offer multiple times. On Thursday, Spire says it has agreed to extend the deadline to September 4 from September 3. Funds advised by Toscafund had an 18.1% stake in Spire as of March. Spire plans to release its interim results by September 30.
