(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of earnings and trading updates by London-listed companies, issued on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:
----------
C&C Group PLC - Dublin-based drinks manufacturer and distributor - First half net revenue falls to EUR794.9 million from EUR825.7 million a year ago. Pretax profit increases to EUR33.3 million from EUR32.1 million. Proposes interim dividend of 7.4 euro cents, down from 7.8 euro cents a year ago. Says trading since the period end has been in line with expectations. "We remain on track to achieve full-year operating profit in line with market expectations, albeit noting that the market conditions remain volatile and we have the important Christmas trading period ahead of us," C&C added. Chief Executive Officer Roger White says: "We have delivered a solid first-half financial performance, reinforcing our actions to build resilience in our business. We outlined our key areas of strategic focus at our recent capital markets day, and I am pleased to report that we are seeing early signs of improved momentum across the business. The general economic environment remains volatile, and we have the important festive trading period yet to deliver. However, we have strong trading plans in place for the balance of the year alongside a number of brand initiatives and the delivery of our developing innovation agenda, all of which give us confidence in our ability to meet market expectations for the full-year."
----------
WeCap PLC - London-based investor whose main holding is e-commerce and social media platform WeShop Holdings Ltd - Pretax loss widens to GBP5.3 million in the year to April 30 from GBP781,069 a year prior. Reports no revenue and no dividend, unchanged. In September, it said the WeShop mobile app will launch in the US on November 16, "timed for holiday season shopping". Looking ahead, sets sights on three principal areas: "continuing to support the development and value of the company's investment in WeShop; managing the company's financial obligations, including the DCB; and preparing for the expiry of the WeShop lock-up in November 2026." WeShop listed on Nasdaq last November. WeCap remains subject to a lock-up in respect of the WeShop shares held prior to the listing. As such, WeCap is unable to dispose of its WeShop shares until November 15. "Following expiry of the lock-up, the board intends to consider the most appropriate method of realising value from the investment, which may include an in-specie distribution of WeShop shares to WeCap shareholders, a sale of the shares and distribution of the resulting cash proceeds, or another appropriate structure," it says. Says it hopes the launch of the WeShop product in November 2026 will give the WeShop shares the value needed to ensure it can repay or refinance the discounted capital bond issued to Hawk Investment Holdings Ltd. "Should this not be the case we highlight the risk that WeCap may not be able to meet its liabilities due under the DCB in May of next year," it adds.

Metro Bank Holdings PLC - London-based retail and private bank operating from 78 'stores' in the UK - Chair Robert Sharpe will step down effective October 31, the end of his six year term. Catherine Brown, current senior independent director, will become interim chair. Michael Torpey will take up the role of senior independent director. Together they will lead the search for a new chair. Robert Sharpe comments: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time chairing the Metro Bank Board. It has been incredibly rewarding as the bank has returned to profitable growth with a strong executive team, an exciting strategy and supportive shareholders. Metro Bank is now well placed for a successful future and it's the right time for me to step away."
