EARNINGS AND TRADING: Acuity eyes 'breakeven' as loss narrows

8th Sep 2026 21:19

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Acuity RM Group PLC - London-based risk management company - Pretax loss in the six months to June 30 falls to GBP34,000 from GBP263,000 as revenue declines to GBP877,000 from GBP1.1 million. Chief Executive David Rajakovich says: "These results show the improvement in financial performance we have been working towards. The group's operating result is now close to breakeven, with administrative expenses 38% lower than a year ago. Our progress does not yet reflect the full potential of the business. Closing that gap - and delivering growth at the pace this opportunity supports - remains my central priority. The second half and 2027 are therefore about growth - the planned launch of Risk OS, folding our Vendor Management Hub capability into STREAM Cloud, and building both an organic and partner-led route to market, each funded against milestones so that we can continue the progress we have made. We do that in a market where the UK public sector is increasingly clear that cyber resilience requires sustained investment, and where national defence and wider public sector organisations already trust Acuity to help them manage that risk." On Monday, says it has entered into a further contract with a "prime defence contractor," which will deploy the STREAM Classic platform as part of an international defence-related programme. Acuity will provide an additional three on-premises instances of STREAM Classic, generating additional annual recurring revenues in excess of GBP160,000. Following this award, the contractor has purchased five STREAM instances.

Total Graphite PLC - specialist flake graphite supplier, formerly called Tirupati Graphite PLC - Provides an update on its ongoing exploration and resource-definition drilling programme at its Vatomina Project in Madagascar. Reports encouraging initial infill drilling results from the Old Mine area, at which diamond hole VAT-DD26-026 returns 19 metres at 3.3% total graphitic carbon from 36m downhole, including 5m at 6.82% TGC from 44m. Says "in context with historical drilling and mining data, the results are very encouraging in terms of confirming the continuity of a thick near surface graphite seam and support a much clearer understanding of the orebody ahead of the restart mine plan." Chair Christian Dennis says: "These first infill results from the Old Mine area are exactly what we had hoped to see. A 19-metre graphite intercept, with a notably high-grade core, gives us real confidence in the continuity and quality of the seam and, taken together with our historical data, brings the shape of the orebody into much sharper focus. With drilling ongoing and the newly defined Old Mine Extension adding to the opportunity, we are in the process of building a robust geological understanding to underpin a credible restart mine plan. As we move into block modelling and pit optimisation across both Old Mine and Tanandava, we look forward to demonstrating the scale and value of the resources we have to mine at Vatomina."

Renalytix PLC - London-based diagnostics company - Raises GBP380,142 via a WRAP retail offer at 6.0 pence each. Separately, investor VenHedge Capital Partners LP reduces its direct subscription to USD2.25 million from USD2.75 million after associated fund Feynman Point Asset Management Master Fund Ltd subscribes directly for USD500,000. Total subscription from VenHedge and associated parties remains unchanged at USD2.75 million, equivalent to GBP2.0 million. Combined with the previously announced placing and subscription, total gross proceeds increase to GBP10.5 million, of which GBP3.9 million remains conditional on approval at the general meeting.

ECR Minerals PLC - Australia-focused gold exploration and development company - Identifies a new visible gold-bearing quartz reef at the Maddens Mine in the Maddens Gold Project in North Queensland, in which it has a 50% interest. The new Jack's Reef was encountered during underground development work associated with ventilation infrastructure at Maddens. ECR says the reef is a consistent quartz structure, around 50 centimetres or more in width in places, "with clearly visible gold observed within parts of the exposed reef." Adds: "The board considers this to be particularly important, because Jack's Reef may indicate a key geological model linking the existing historic Maddens Mine workings and potential extensions of the broader mineralised system."

Tekcapital PLC - intellectual property investment group - Updates on portfolio company Vesari Inc, which is developing technology for a fully integrated, behind-the-meter, geothermal-powered hyperscale AI compute campus. Vesari has appointed US-based Robert Podgorney to its Science Advisory Board. Podgorney is a geothermal scientist with more than twenty-five years of experience in EGS research, reservoir modeling and field laboratory operations, Tekcapital says. Chair Clifford Gross says: "Dr. Podgorney is one of the most experienced enhanced geothermal systems scientists in the United States, and we are honored to have him join Vesari's Science Advisory Board. His stewardship of the Department of Energy's flagship EGS programme gives him an unmatched view of what it takes to develop clean, firm power at scale. Our portfolio company Vesari Inc has developed new technology to co-locate EGS power plants with hyperscalers to enable highly efficient, clean, behind-the-meter data centres. Next-gen geothermal is estimated to be able to meet between 55% to 64% of projected US hyperscale data center demand growth by the early 2030s."

----------

Fulcrum Metals PLC - mineral explorer in Canada - Ordinary shares have been approved for trading on the OTCQB Market in the US and will commence cross-trading at the OTCQB market open today under the ticker symbol FULMF. The company's ordinary shares will continue to trade on AIM under the ticker FMET. No new ordinary shares are being issued in connection with the OTCQB quotation.

----------

Checkit PLC - Cambridge, England-based workflow management software provider - Updates on its formal sales process announced in March, under which it has engaged with potential financial and strategic acquirers. "Some have undertaken detailed due diligence, including engagement with Checkit management, and the company has received several non-binding indicative proposals," Checkit says, adding that proposals have all represented "substantial premiums to its share price". Checkit says it is not considering proposals below 30 pence per share. "The board has maintained a disciplined approach to valuation throughout the FSP and has progressed discussions with parties where it considered that the prospective value and execution certainty provided sufficient basis for further engagement. The board is now seeking to bring the FSP to a conclusion over the coming weeks and is focused on determining whether any remaining party can deliver a proposal that it could recommend to shareholders," adds. Checkit intends to publish its interim results for the six months ended July 31 by September 30.

Serval Resources PLC - London-based metals exploration and development company - Updates on its work programme for the Kaoko Basin project in Namibia - Says a geological mapping campaign confirms previously identified and drilled copper-mineralisation across the EPL 7081 area, specifically the Omatapati and Otjozongombe prospects. "More Cu-mineralisation in surface samples was identified in areas not previously known. These new discoveries of Cu-mineralisation at surface are along strike of known Cu-mineralisation, indicating an increase in the potential strike length and size of the potential Cu-deposits," Serval says. For the rest of 2026, exploration efforts will use geophysics and/or soil sampling to further delineate these mineralised systems, followed by a diamond drilling programme scheduled for the fourth quarter to confirm the orientation, grade and connectedness of the surface mineralisation at depth. Plans for a maiden mineral resource estimation programme in 2027, subject to receipt of additional funding.

----------

EnSilica PLC - Oxford, England-based computer microchip maker for space and communications, industrial, and automotive markets - Says it will open a new Space & Communications Semiconductor Centre of Excellence in Milan. "It is proposed that the centre will initially recruit 20 specialist modem and mmWave engineers over the next six months, expanding EnSilica's engineering presence within the European Union and positioning the group to participate more closely in European space, semiconductor and communications initiatives. The Milan centre will be EnSilica's third site in Europe, alongside a growing design centre in Budapest, Hungary, and an expanding sales centre in Munich," company says.

----------

Novacyt SA - Paris-based biotechnology group focused on clinical diagnostics - Announces the commercial launch of the In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation-certified Yourgene Insight DPYD assay. The launch follows the successful introduction of the Yourgene Insight DPYD assay as a Research Use Only product in May 2026 and marks the completion of the assay's regulatory transition to full compliance with the European Union's IVDR. Chief Executive Officer Lyn Rees says: "The launch of the IVDR-certified Yourgene Insight DPYD assay is an important milestone for Novacyt and demonstrates our ability to translate scientific innovation into clinically relevant products that address urgent healthcare needs. As precision medicine continues to evolve, pharmacogenomic testing is becoming increasingly important in supporting safer and more effective treatment decisions.
