Domino's Pizza enjoys World Cup boost as interim sales and orders rise

4th Aug 2026 13:45

(Alliance News) - Domino's Pizza Group PLC on Tuesday said it remains confident in delivering full-year expectations after reporting higher half-year sales.

The Milton Keynes, England-based master franchise holder in the UK and Ireland for Domino's Pizza Inc said pretax profit edged up 0.2% to GBP40.6 million in the half-year ended June 28 from GBP40.5 million the year prior.

Revenue climbed a more robust 6.2% to GBP353.6 million from GBP331.5 million on-year, with system sales up 6.1% to GBP825.3 million from GBP777.8 million.

Like-for-like sales grew 4.9% and orders increased 1.6%, driven by growth in both Pizza and Chick 'n' Dipm as well as an uplift from the football World Cup.

Basic earnings per share increased 5.3% to 8.0 pence from 7.6p. The dividend was raised 2.8% to 3.7p per share from 3.6p.

"We have delivered a strong first half, with positive momentum across sales, orders, earnings and cash flow," said Chief Executive Nicola Frampton.

"We have carried positive momentum into July and, with our major cost lines hedged through 2026 and into next year, remain confident in delivering our full-year expectations," she added.

The firm said the priorities for the second half of the financial year are clear: "continue to execute the core growth levers, support franchisee profitability, maintain strong cash discipline and scale the initiatives that are already demonstrating results."

Shares in Domino's Pizza were up 3.2% at 210.80p each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
