Diageo publishes restated figures following reporting changes

13th Oct 2026 09:35

(Alliance News) - Diageo PLC on Tuesday announced changes to its reporting structure to align its external reporting with its regional operating framework.

The London-based alcoholic beverage company said the changes will take effect from financial 2027, which began on July 1 this year.

Diageo will continue to report across five regions: North America; Europe, Middle East & Africa; Asia Pacific; Latin America & Caribbean; and India.

Changes include the combination of EMEA with the former Europe and Africa regions, while Asia Pacific will exclude India, which will be reported as a standalone region.

East African Breweries PLC has been restated within EMEA for financial 2025 and financial 2026. In financial 2027, the Kenyan-based drinks manufacturer will be reported within corporate, pending completion of its previously announced disposal. A greater proportion of global and centrally managed costs will be reported within corporate, Diageo said

Back in December last year, Diageo announced an agreement to sell its 65% stake in EABL to Asahi Group Holdings in a deal valued at around USD2.3 billion.

Global Travel, Diageo's duty-free and travel retail division, will be reported entirely within Asia Pacific. It was previously allocated across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America & Caribbean and Africa.

Diageo stressed that the restatements do not affect previously reported group results, only their allocation between regions and Corporate.

Under the restated reporting structure, net sales in North America were USD7.17 billion in financial 2026, compared with USD7.90 billion in financial 2025. EMEA net sales were USD6.44 billion, up from USD6.36 billion. Asia Pacific net sales fell to USD2.23 billion from USD2.51 billion.

Net sales in Latin America & Caribbean increased to USD2.09 billion from USD1.78 billion, while India sales edged up to USD1.42 billion from USD1.41 billion. Corporate net sales were USD297 million, compared with USD289 million the year earlier.

Reported volume in North America was 45.5 million cases in financial 2026, compared with 49.0 million in financial 2025. EMEA volume was 79.2 million cases, down from 77.3 million, while Asia Pacific volume fell to 15.9 million from 16.8 million.

Latin America & Caribbean volume increased to 23.0 million cases from 22.6 million, while India volume edged down to 63.3 million from 63.9 million. Corporate volume was 0.3 million cases, compared with 0.5 million a year earlier.

Shares in Diageo PLC were up 0.6% to 1,683.50 pence per share on Tuesday morning in London.
