(Alliance News) - Deutsche Bank AG has agreed to finance a wind farm in Western Australia being developed by Foresight Group Holdings Ltd.
The Frankfurt-based universal bank has closed a financing package with the London-based investment manager after agreeing to be the initial financier and hedge provider to Foresight for stage one of the 130 megawatt Kondinin wind farm.
The package includes a AUD430 million construction and term facility, worth around USD300.0 million.
Deutsche Bank is also providing an AUD86 million contingent instrument facility and a AUD10 million debt service reserve facility, along with interest-rate swaps.
"This will support the project's transition from development into construction," Deutsche Bank said.
Project company Kondinin Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Foresight through the Australian Renewable Income Fund.
Shares in Deutsche Bank ended down 0.7% at EUR29.66 each in Frankfurt on Thursday, while Foresight shares closed 3.2% lower at 434.78 pence each in London that same day.
