(Alliance News) - Defence Holdings PLC on Friday said it secured its first revenue-generating contract with the UK Ministry of Defence.
The London-based software-led defence technology company said the contract has been awarded through a direct award mechanism and has a value of around GBP226,000 over a three-month period.
Defence Holdings said the contract marks its transition into a revenue-generating business.
The company explains: "The engagement relates to the testing and deployment of an integrated capability designed to fuse open-source and classified intelligence into a single analytical platform, generate courses of action and support rapid, human-controlled deployment of authorised effects across cyber, information and supply-chain domains."
Chief Executive Officer Andrew Roughan said: "Securing and commencing our first revenue-generating Ministry of Defence contract is a defining milestone for Defence Holdings. It demonstrates our ability to move from identifying operational requirements to delivering capability for a defence customer. We believe this contract provides important validation of our approach and marks an important step in the company's development. Our focus now is on successful delivery, supporting the customer and continuing to build a portfolio of deployable sovereign software capabilities."
Defence Holdings shares rose 0.8% to 1.27 pence each on Friday morning in London.
