LONDON (Alliance News) - Cyan Holdings PLC said Thursday that it had won an order with a Chinese lighting solutions distributor, Aska Technology Ltd for 15,000 smart lighting control modules for street lights.
Also included in the order is the associated licenses for Cyan's server software. Delivery will be complete before the end of the year, it said. Cyan signed a master distribution agreement with Aska in April.
Cyan said that it hopes the order represents the starting point for significant deployments expected over the next two to three years.
Financial details of the order were not disclosed.
"Smart lighting projects are just starting to be deployed across the world and we are delighted that our solution has been selected after an extended period of evaluation and pilots by the end customer," said Executive Chairman John Cronin.
Shares in Cyan were trading up 10.1% at 0.468 pence Thursday afternoon.
