Curtis Banks Hires Ex-WH Ireland Numbers Boss Cowland As Finance Chief

5th Jun 2019 12:16

LONDON (Alliance News) - Curtis Banks Group PLC said Wednesday it has hired former WH Ireland Group PLC finance chief Dan Cowland as its own chief financial officer from early July.

Cowland will join the pension services provider on July 8, replacing current CFO Paul Tarran who announced his intention to resign by the end of 2019 in January. Tarran - in post since 2012 - will remain a member of the board for an unspecified "period of time" to ensure an orderly handover.

Prior to joining Curtis, Cowland has previously served as finance director of investment manager WH Ireland for five years until February. Before his time at WH Ireland, he served in the same role at Shore Capital from 2010 to 2014.

Cowland has also served in senior finance roles at Macquarie Bank and Lehman Brothers.

It is a measure of our quality and future plans for growth that we're able to attract high quality people to Curtis Banks," Chief Executive Officer Will Self said.

Self added that Cowland "brings a wealth of experience, having successfully grown listed businesses in our sector, and is a great addition to our strong management team as we look to build on our momentum."
