LONDON (Alliance News) - Conroy Gold & Natural Resources PLC on Monday said it has discovered new gold zones whilst drilling the Glenish target located southwest of the company's main Clay Lake-Clontibret gold target in Ireland.
Conroy has intersected four new zones in a 150 metre wide structural corridor in the western part of the Glenish target and said the gold mineralisation traced down-dip for over 70 metres and remains open in all directions.
The drilling results delivered intersections of 2.3 metres graded at 2.65 grammes of gold per tonne of ore at a depth of 18.0 metres; 2.0 metres graded at 1.59 grammes of gold at a depth of 27.8 metres; 2.8 metres graded 1.43 grammes of gold at a depth of 36.0 metres and 3.0 metres graded at 1.76 grammes of gold per tonne of ore at a depth of 64.3 metres.
"The newly discovered gold zones significantly upgrade the potential of the Glenish gold target, which is close to our already established Clay Lake-Clontibret gold target, and further enhances the prospectivity of the company's gold licences in Ireland," said Richard Conroy, chairman of the company.
Conroy shares were trading flat on Monday morning at 44.0 pence per share.
