Conroy Gold & Natural Resources reports progress on re-logging project

14th Feb 2025 12:26

(Alliance News) - Conroy Gold & Natural Resources PLC on Friday said the re-logging programme for the Clontibret drill core is ongoing.

The Ireland and Finland-focused gold exploration and development company said the programme is "well advanced".

The company is relogging more than 16,000 metres of drill core for the entire Clontibret gold deposit and target.

Work has started on the construction of a 3D geological model, starting with the cross sections where re-logging is complete.

The company said the work contributes to its ongoing discussions with potential strategic and financial partners to fund the next cycle of its Discs of Gold project.

It also supports its planned application to the EU to recognise Clontibret as a strategic project with its antimony potential.

Chair John Sherman said: "The company continues to actively engage with interested parties to develop partnerships to accelerate and fund the next phases of the Discs of Gold project. The re-logging programme, including the work on the antimony potential of the Clontibret target, is helping to define and prioritise the investment choices to best progress the Discs of Gold project and build shareholder value."

Conroy Gold shares were down 2.0% to 2.40 pence in London on Friday afternoon.
