LONDON (Alliance News) - Conroy Gold & Natural Resources PLC said Thursday it discovered extensive gold mineralisation at its Clay Lake gold target in Ireland.
Shares in the company were trading up 4.4% at 12.0 pence each.
The gold exploration & development company, focused on Ireland and Finland, said the gold intersection extended for 150.5 metres at 0.3 grams per tonne of gold.
"This wide gold intersection adds to previous drilling and trenching results which suggest potential for high tonnage and overall gold content in the Clay Lake gold target," the firm explained.
The drill hole also intersected silver with 28.8 metres at 0.9 grams per tonne from 112.5 metres.
Chairman Richard Conroy said: "It is very encouraging to see such a wide intersection giving the potential for high tonnage and overall gold content in a target that is 3 kilometres in length and where we have also intersected high grade."
